We’re a team of twenty and are proud of the work we do. In our first year we have many happy case studies. In executive search, we’ve placed talented leaders with great teams. In recruiting-as-a-service, we’ve partnered with one company to hire fifteen members of their team.

Welcome to the inaugural edition of Scaled’s newsletter

At Thumbtack, I did nothing more meaningful than hire great folks. Hiring great folks brought vitality to the company and a fresh start for new hires. Not only did those hires have an enormous impact on the company, but they also remain some of the most meaningful relationships I’ve had. How satisfying when some told me I played a small part in their journey, helping hire and bring them aboard at the right time in their careers.

I want to pass this on to the next generation of startups. For that, we started Scaled. Scaled is the operating system for startup recruiting.

We have big ambitions because we realize the size of the problem

There remains a shortfall of great people for startup leaders to lean on when their company is growing. Our dreams for the future include a full suite of offerings to support founders and startups on their path to growth. Our first product is leadership hiring — helping build startup executive teams. We’re starting with people, finance and legal leaders. We are also beta-testing recruiting-as-a-service or embedded recruiting.

The limiting factor for startups today is not capital, but talent

Above all, our goal is to help startups build faster and better. We help startup hiring managers by:

  • connecting them with great talent quickly,
  • making the scheduling and other logistics of the hiring process invisible, and
  • advising them smartly.

We are passionate about creating opportunities for under-the-radar talent and helping startups build. We’re a team of twenty and are proud of the work we do.
